Begumpet Airport - Hyderabad
Hyderabad's earlier commercial airport at Begumpet handled well over 200 daily flights in its last year of operation. Begumpet's domestic passenger terminal had a somewhat outdated look and feel and was clearly undersized relative to the increasing passenger volumes handled at the airport. Commercial flights ended on March 23, 2009 when operations were shifted to the new and much larger Rajiv Gandhi International Airport located at Shamshabad.
