Begumpet Airport - Hyderabad
Hyderabad's now closed down international airport at Begumpet used to handle well over 200 flights per day. Begumpet's domestic passenger terminal had a somewhat outdated look and feel (not uncommon among current major Indian airports) and was clearly undersized considering the passenger volumes handled at the airport. Commercial flights ended on March 23 when operations were shifted to the new and much larger Rajiv Gandhi International Airport located at Shamshabad.
