ACCOMODATION
Hotels and other accomodation in India come in a wide range, both in rates and quality. Luxury hotels are usually of very high class. A reasonable range of budget and mid-range hotels are also to be found in all the cities, towns and other places of interest for both business and leisure travellers. Many state governments maintain mid and budget range hotels or tourist lodges within their respective states in various places of interest and are usually reasonably priced. India had approx. 91 000 approved hotel rooms (as on May 2018) in 1 802 hotels across the country. Many of the international hotel groups not yet established in India are firming up plans to open hotels in the future. These hotel chains and brands include MGM Mirage Hospitality, Radisson, Swissôtel Hotels and Suites, Movenpick Hotels and Suites and Wyndham Hotel Group (Ramada, Days Inn and Super 8 chains).
